Meetings in a Digital Office
Or in your self-designed villa on top of a mountain.
Remote Collaboration shows us that we can collaborate digitally in new ways. The pandemic has made us realize that some meetings can be done perfectly from home. Reducing travel for work saves a lot of time and money and is also better for the environment, especially when people from all over the world need to meet.
But let’s admit it, we’re kind of done with those Zoom meetings, right?
VR can offer a solution to have fun and productive meetings from home. What makes this interesting is that you can design your own space and make it as creative as you want. Everyone can have their own personalized avatar, adding a nice personal touch. Recognizing and seeing your colleagues’ movements make it easy to connect and express yourself clearly. The environments are very user-friendly and guarantee lots of laughter during the first introductory session. For example, you can draw something in VR, and your colleagues will see it too. We’re always curious about companies’ TTP (Google TTP Urban Dictionary).
Now back to more serious benefits. A VR meeting enhances alertness and engagement from all participants, as people are effectively present in the virtual space without distractions from their homes. Moreover, it’s just really fun and exciting to meet in VR, which adds enthusiasm to the meetings.
And here are the last two benefits: you don’t have to clean up your background for that Zoom meeting, and the plants in your digital workspace don’t need watering because they won’t die.
You can start cancelling those flight tickets already.
