Virtual Stepping Stones

Leap – An interactive installation designed to allow people to experience the power of VR.

This was the very first project created by one of us, laying the foundation for the enthusiasm with which Boldly-XR was established.

In VR, you can see yourself standing before a path of tall pillars, with lava running all over, or tigers walking around. Take the leap and walk across the pillars. Easier said than done. On the ground, there are physical tiles that are 4 cm high, with sensors tracking whether you are triggering them. You can wiggle your toes over the edge and it truly feels like you’re on those high pillars.

We’ve been to many (international) festivals and events, where thousands of people have experienced the Leap. One thing we’ve learned from this: Virtual Reality experience is an incredibly effective tool for transporting people to another place. Let the fun begin!
