The RAF Wall

The Royal Air Force (RAF) Museum in London unveiled a new exhibition about The Battle of Britain. To narrate the story of the Dowding System, they sought an interactive installation suitable for all ages and levels. In collaboration with a renowned comic book artist, we created a 6-meter-long interactive wooden wall,  We adorned the wall with illustrations and information: The RAF Wall.

We painted the content onto a wooden surface using conductive ink. This is a pitch-black substance that functions as a touchscreen, transmitting input to the computer. Combined with projectors and projection mapping of animations, the illustrations came to life upon visitors’ touch. This gave rise to a cascade of visuals and sounds, becoming a true showstopper within the museum.
