A VR Experience

The VR Experience for Holmatro was a seeding success.

Holmatro presented us with an intriguing challenge. How could they effectively convey the power, durability, and user-friendliness of their new Industrial EVO 3 line of hydraulic cutters to end users?  The experience should be packed in an expo-like environment, all while ensuring safety.

To address this and provide an authentic experience of their hydraulic cutters, we developed a VR experience. Utilizing VIVE Trackers and precise 3D modelling, we brought the industrial battery-powered cutters to life at a 1:1 scale. This allowed the physical cutters to be utilized within the VR environment. By using the cutters as ‘controllers,’ users could virtually experience the force of the cutters in action. The ability to use the cutters as controllers heightened the realism of the experience, making it more impactful than a typical VR experience.

The potential of virtual reality in training contexts is remarkably impactful.
